Programme Manager for Mission-led Organisation
£35,000 - £40,000
Job No. 1331447
Location: South East England (largely remote with London meetings a few times a month)
Are you an organised, proactive Programme or Project Manager who thrives in purpose‑driven environments? Do you enjoy bringing structure to complex work, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and turning ideas into practical delivery? This newly created role sits at the heart of a mission‑led organisation working on some of today’s most pressing societal challenges.
We’re looking for someone who is energised by people, learning, and positive change — ideally with experience in training, charities, leadership development, consultancy, or transformation programmes.
The Role
You’ll play a central role in supporting a major multi‑year programme focused on social impact, alongside wider organisational initiatives. This includes:
Owning and maintaining programme plans, milestones, timelines and delivery rhythms
Building simple, effective project management systems and ways of working
Tracking progress, risks and decisions — ensuring nothing stalls
Coordinating internal and external contributors
Holding and reporting on programme budgets
Preparing stakeholder updates, slide decks and briefing materials
Supporting CRM development and maintaining high‑quality data
Managing communications, invites, follow‑ups and participant engagement
Leading the planning and delivery of events, workshops and convenings
Supporting marketing activity, including social media and content coordination
Keeping meetings, agendas, notes and action tracking running smoothly
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys creating clarity, bringing calm to complexity, and acting as a reliable centre of gravity across a busy set of moving parts.
About You
You’ll thrive here if you:
Have strong programme/project management experience across multiple workstreams
Are confident managing budgets and reporting on spend/forecast
Build structure that others actually use
Are comfortable with CRM systems and maintaining accurate data
Communicate clearly in writing and in person
Are proactive, detail‑oriented and good at spotting what’s missing
Enjoy turning ambiguity into a practical plan
Care about high‑quality outputs — plans, decks, comms, events
Are relational, responsive and collaborative
Experience working with funders, partners or cross‑sector stakeholders is a bonus.
Working Arrangements
Largely remote, with flexibility
Must be based in South East England and able to travel to London a few times a month
Full‑time, with flexibility to support occasional global time zones
Why This Role Matters
You’ll be joining a team committed to making the world a better place — tackling systemic challenges through collaboration, leadership, and long‑term thinking. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high‑impact work while shaping a programme that is still evolving and growing.
