Bis Recruit in Palma
This weekend we jetted off to Palma, Mallorca, for a weekend of sun, sea and sangria.
As seasoned travellers, directors Sue & Chrys played tour guides and ensured we made the most of the 48-hour period we were away. Staying in the beautiful Gran Melia Victoria, we were only a short walk along the marina to Palma’s historic Old Town where you can find authentic restaurants and boutique shops hidden down the many winding side streets.
Being somewhere with glorious golden sandy beaches and 30-degree heat, it would have been rude not to spend some time topping up our tans and relaxing after a very productive summer in the office. Complete with a beach side restaurant with delicious food and the tastiest Sangria of our trip it’s safe to say we were loving life.
As we were flying back on Sunday evening, we were up early to enjoy our last ‘all you can eat’ breakfast and head on into town to explore some more, purchase the traditional tacky souvenirs, and eat our weight in gelato. It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
If you ever find yourself in Palma, we highly recommend the following eateries…..we promise we did more than eat:
· Café Ca’n Toni- for authentic Spanish Cuisine and delicious wine!
· S’Esponja in Puerto Portals- A beautiful setting and a perfect spot for people watching, if you eat here the Paella is a must have
· Il Paradiso- Dinner with the most incredible view (we recommend booking ahead for a table out on the terrace), amazing food and great service, not to mention their frozen strawberry daiquiri, which was Harriet’s choice of cocktail for the entire weekend.
